Food For Change Melbourne Farm

Melbourne Farm

The Food For Change Melbourne farm was our first farm in Australia and the site officially opened on the 25th of Feb 2017. The farm operated for over 5 years and grew fresh food for those in need locally and across Melbourne.

The food grown included:

  • Fresh Veg – Carrots, Beetroot, Onions, Spinach, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Zucchini, Radish, Peas, Cucumber, Tomatoes, Pumpkin
  • Fresh Fruit – Lemons, Limes, Apples, Figs
  • Fresh Herbs – Parsley, Basil, Thyme, Rosemary, Sage

And more!

The farms main beneficiary locally was the Kingston City Church. Food from the site also went to organisations across Bayside Council Region and our big harvests all get distributed by Secondbite across Melbourne and regional Victoria. In the 5 years of operation the site grew enough food for over 300,000 meals.

Food For Change is proud to have fed so many people from our Clayton South Farm site and we look forward to opening many more farms across Australia.
